While children under two are always welcome at the museum (for FREE!) and will find many wonderful things to do in our exhibits, please be aware that we offer the following spaces and programs with the specific needs of our youngest visitors in mind.

Baby Bouncy Room
To provide a fun, safe refuge for our rolling, crawling and toddling visitors, this brightly colored nook is filled with soft toys, mirrors and plenty of activity mats so that tiny tots can explore in their own way away from the traffic of older kids.

V.I.B Hour! (Very Important Babies)
Each Wednesday morning at 9 am, the Zimmer opens its doors exclusively to the under 2 crowd!

Tiny tykes and their caregivers can enjoy the museum in a more relaxed setting giving both kids and adults more room to breathe (and crawl and climb). Adult admission rates apply. As this hour’s intention is to create a safe, comfortable play space for our youngest visitors, we ask families with older siblings to instead join for regular museum hours at 10am.

Tiny Talkers
At the Zimmer, we love making little ones happy, and we know that communicating effectively is key to everyone’s happiness when infants and toddlers are involved! In this class, learn how incorporating signing into daily interactions between you and your baby can result in less tears and tantrums and more smiles and giggles!

WEDNESDAYS

January 25 - February 15 (4 weeks)
Ages under 24 months (with caregivers)

Members: $40/series or $10 per class
Non-members: $60/series or $15 per class**

Sensation City
This class encourages the natural tactile exploration of babies and toddlers through structured sensory activities. From smooth to silky to fuzzy to rough, children will celebrate diverse textures through visits to different parts our “city”.
